Verify your purchases with a simple confirmation

The PSD2 regulation requires Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) to validate online card purchases.

Each transaction must be verified through the CaixaBank app, ensuring that the person making the purchase is the actual cardholder.

Steps to validate an online purchase with the CaixaBank app

Make your purchase and enter your card details on the online retailer’s site.

You’ll receive a notification in the CaixaBank app, or you may need to access it manually if you're using the website.

Check the retailer and the amount carefully. If everything looks correct, tap “Authorise”; if not, cancel. The option will be available for 7 minutes.

In some cases, CaixaBank may also ask for your digital signature.

Go back to the store to complete the purchase.

Make your online purchase using your CaixaBank card.

Log in to your online account from your computer; a screen will automatically appear asking you to authorise the transaction.

Check the details and click “Authorise” or “Cancel”. You’ll have 7 minutes to do so.
