What do I need to register?

This process only applies to users of certain nationalities/countries of residence who are not residents of Spain*. If you live in Spain, go to the registration process for residents. To register, you will need:

  • A good internet connection
  • Your personal details: name, address, tax identification number (NIF), etc.
  • Your identity document or passport from your country.
  • You must provide documentation accrediting your economic activity (depending on the country).
    • Documentation required for employment
    • Documentation required for self-employed work

* Nationals and residents in any of the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland and United Kingdom. Or Spanish national resident in any of these countries. 

I'm having problems validating my ID

If you are going to validate your identity document using the video process:

  • Make sure you are in a well-lit place and have a good connection.
  • Follow the instructions carefully:
  1. Show the front of your document.
  2. Tilt and move the front so that the security elements are visible.
  3. Show the back of your document.
  4. Read out loud the code that will be displayed on the screen.
  5. Smile for the camera!

If you are trying to upload an image of your identity document, please consult the recommendations for uploading the image to ensure that we are able to validate your documentation.

I've completed the form but haven't received an email.

If you completed the form less than 48 hours ago, you will receive an email informing you of the next steps.

If it was over 48 hours ago and we haven't contacted you yet:

  • Please check your spam folder
  • Email us at online.registration@caixabank.com to confirm that the email provided in the application is correct.

How can I log in to CaixaBankNow digital banking?

  • Once the registration process is complete, you will receive an email with the CaixaBankNow digital banking login identifier. To log in to CaixaBankNow, you will have to enter:
    • Identification: the identification number assigned to you during the incorporation process.
    • PIN: the password you chose during the registration process.

  • If you don't remember your password (PIN), please visit any of our branches to receive a new one.
  • In order to sign all the transactions you make using CaixaBankNow, you will need to activate your signature in the CaixaBankNow app by following these steps: Open the app, go to Profile > Security > Signature and activate your signature.

Do I need to go to a branch?

Once you sign the contracts, you will have six months to go to a branch in Spain and show a valid identification document or passport. During this time, you will be able to use the Restricted Transaction Account (you will not be able to order international transfers or deposit more than 600 euros a month with an activator and PIN). If you do not go to a branch within 6 months, we will be required to further restrict your account operations, and you will not be able to deposit funds or receive payments in it. If you visit us after this period and provide this documentation, you will be able to enjoy all the services of your account without these restrictions.
