Payee verification: make sure the money reaches the right person

Starting 9 October 2025, when you make a transfer, you'll be able to check if the name of the account holder matches the one you specified.

This system, known as VoP (Verification of Payee), will give you a key indication before you confirm the transfer.

What are the possible results?

0
It matches

It matches: The holder's name is exactly the same as the one you entered.

1
It almost matches

It almost matches: The name is similar. We'll show you the account holder's real name so you can decide whether to continue.

2
It does not match

It does not match: We will let you know if the cardholder's name don't match. If you decide to continue, the money could go to someone else and be unrecoverable.

What should you do?

Verify the details before confirming. A minor difference might indicate fraud.

Always ask for the full and exact name of the holder before making a transfer.
