Home contents includes jewellery and valuables. Both jewellery and valuables are assigned a maximum capital sum per claim. This means that, in the event of a claim, the compensation to be paid will be equivalent to the amount of the damage, with the maximum capital sum fixed for each of them.
Example
Imagine that the total valuables have a cost of €7,800 and €4,800 for the jewellery. If, due to theft or any other cause covered in the policy, €6,000 in valuables and €3,000 in jewellery were lost, the compensation would be identical to the amounts of the loss, i.e. €6,000 and €3,000 respectively.
MyBox Hogar allows the insurance to be extended with the following optional cover that can be taken out together, as long as the capital for contents is taken out and the home is for habitual use (for owners or tenants):
